28th Annual Auction, Dinner & Dance

The Seycove Family of Schools is pleased to present the 28th annual Seycove Auction, Dinner and Dance. This year things are going to be a little bit different...First, we are going to have a casino with several different tables set-up for your gambling pleasure, second there will be an online auction so you can bid on items BEFORE the night of the event, third WHAT ELSE??

Theme: What happens in Vegas...

Venue: Parkgate Community Centre

Date: Saturday, March 27, 2010 - 5:30pm to midnight

Tickets: Early Bird Pricing (from Feb. 1 to Feb. 28) - Individual ticket is $45, two tickets $90, package of 10 for $400. Regular Pricing (from Mar. 1 to Mar. 25) - Individual ticket is $50, two for $100, package of 10 for $450. Tickets available for purchase online starting February 1st.

Band: Jim Jorgenson's Band: Unloaded!

Menu: Grilled Chicken Breast with an herb rub; Chili-Lime Basa Catfish; Pasta Primavera; Steamed mixed veggies; 7 grain rice; Caesar salad; Crunchy Slaw with a Cider Vinegar Dressing; Baby Spinach Salad with Pea Shoots & Ginger Vinaigrette; a great dessert with a variety of cakes! Dinner starts being served at 5:30 pm.

Understanding this year's theme:
What Happens in Vegas...

Just like anything goes in Vegas, anything goes for this event. This year's event is going to be different and so much fun, so make sure you buy a ticket! This is Deep Cove's premier fundraising event for our schools and your support really matters. Also, we changed things up a bit this year and we'd love to have you come and check it all out.

Now onto attire...there are so many places to go with this one we don't know where to start, but here are some thoughts:

• Think Casino Royale (James Bond) and cocktail attire (black tie for men, evening gowns for women [the more sparkley the better]). Remember, it's Vegas so you can definitely go over the top
• Think Tacky-Tourist (loud shirts, muu muu dresses, cameras, black socks with shorts...you get the idea!)
• Think CSI (the original series takes place in Vegas, right?)
• Think Show Lounge - Elvis impersonators, classic Las Vegas acts such as Wayne Newton, Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond or Celine Dion.
• Think Gambling - (visers, arm garters, aces up your sleeve, dice hanging from...[well, you fill in the blank])
